Description: ABOUT OUR CLIENTProfessional services firm located in the Galleria area of HoustonJOB SUMMARYThe Web Developer will be responsible for the development, implementation, and support of interactive solutions for multiple firm clients. This includes working closely with the development and interactive design teams, project managers, and clients to implement functional requirements in an efficient manner. REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE• Develops, maintains and tests web sites • Manages technical aspects (performs coding and programming tasks) • Understands browser specific compatibility issues• Handles domain registrations• Oversees URL redirects• Analyzes and troubleshoots technical problems • Designs, implements and tests new and existing applications • Performs testing for usability, flow and performance • Oversees updating of images/content for campaign launch• Provides estimates for project assessments that require any Web specific coding outside of IT• Exact Target technical support (create templates, manage any integration activities)• Web Trends/tracking technical support• Assists with implementation of SEO optimization KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES• Knowledge of web application architecture, database design (MySQL), web servers (Apache), JavaScript, HTML• Knowledge of enterprise content management systems • Familiarity with technical desktop applications such as terminal service, enterprise manager, web editors, databases • Proficiency in DHTML, XML, CSS, DOMs, Schemas, Flash and parsers • Languages: HTML, XML, JavaScript, SQL • Adobe Photoshop / Illustrator CS3/4• PHP knowledge is plus • Experience building web-user interfaces for technical tools/workflows • Strong understanding of programming methods, server side technology, and client-server architecture • Ability to work with a team in a collaborative environment • Strong written and verbal communication skills• Strong work ethic and dedication to owning and resolving problems • Ability to manage multiple projects and disciplined in meeting deadlines • Eager to learn and implement new tools and methodologiesEDUCATION• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or other advanced technical degreeEXPERIENCE• 3-5 years professional-level related technical experience • Strong online portfolio requiredJOB TYPE- Contract only- Start date: ASAP- Contract length - 6 months+PAY & BENEFITS- $30-35/hr, depending on experience
